COMMITTEES

The committees at St. Paul's do the work of the church. All of the committees are always looking for volunteers to help with their activities. For information about how to connect with a committee, e-mail the Council chairperson or call the church office at 610-363-6264.

The Audit Committee audits the church's accounts.

Christian Education (Denise Cordes) coordinates the efforts of an army of dedicated, talented volunteers, including program coordinators and teachers.

Communications (Chair Needed) coordinates the efforts of talented volunteers who produce communications materials in print and on the Web site. This committee also handles press releases and media advertising.

Design & Construction (Tim Beaver) The Design and Construction committee's responsibility is to take the Master Plan that was created by Long Range Planning and Daley and Jalboot and take it to the next level. The tasks include hiring and working with a civil engineer to create a land development plan to submit to the township. The other main task is to hire and work with an architect (Daley and Jalboot), to scale down the project into the expected project budget and then get some real construction estimates from contractors.

The Finance Committee manages the various accounts in which church assets are maintained.

Hospitality(Ann Byer)
coordinates the efforts of a volunteer army who provide the food, drinks and manpower to stage everything from major meals to coffee fellowship after services. The hospitality committee is a great way to get to know your church family better so don't let those creative, organizational or hosting skills go to waste! Come meet new people and help in the kitchen, help set up, help clean up, help decorate or help cook. There are so many ways you can get involved.

In Touch(Louise Griffith) is St. Paul's "in reach" ministry to its members. They coordinate the efforts of the In Touch volunteers who keep in contact with their member families.

Membership Ministry (Chair Needed) focuses on "in reach" to St. Paul's members. In charge of "In Touch Ministry" that assigns each member of the church to an In Touch Minister to facilitate communications and involvement.

Mutual Ministry (David Graham) works with church staff to encourage them in their ministry.

Property (Chad Adams) takes care of St. Paul's buildings and grounds. They organize "Blue Jeans Sunday" events so that everyone can participate.

Rejoicing Spirits (Susan Crawford) manages all aspects of the Rejoicing Spirits services. Join other St. Paul’s members and the local community which reaches out to individuals with developmental disabilities. The service is held on the first Sunday each month at 4:00 PM. Adult and youth volunteers are welcome.

Social Ministry (Shirley Deist) reaches out to the community with charitable activities including special fund drives, food baskets at holidays, food bank, holiday gifts for needy families and a host of other activities.

Stewardship (Chair Needed) encourages our members to share their time, talents and treasures.

Tanzania Partnership Committee The Tanzania Partnership Committee is a group of people committed to fostering the relationship between St. Paul's and Muheza Lutheran Church in Tanzania. We maintain ties and bolster Christian fellowship with our companion church, Muheza. We organize events and educational opportunities to grow and celebrate our relationship, uniting the ministries comprised in each church. We participate in mutual prayer, provide financial help, and seek ways to encounter Christ with our brothers and sisters in Muheza. Our Tanzania team members are Tilly Hujsak, Celeste Alfieri, Shirley Deist and Pastor Mark. We get together every 6 to 8 weeks and are currently looking at ways to begin a scholarship program for the children in Muheza Church. If you are interested in becoming a member of this mission team, please contact Pastor Mark.

Webmasters (Dawn Beck and Barb Andrews) maintain the world class and brilliantly designed St. Paul's web site. Volunteers are needed to maintain individual pages.

Worship and Music (Dawn Beck) is responsible for direction of the worship life at St. Paul's and for all of the activities involved in that effort, including banner management, altar care, music staff direction, decoration for holidays, etc.

Youth (Nick Manzi) organizes events for youth from 1st through 12th grades and keeps in touch with college students. Activities include Young Youther events for 1st-5th graders, Youtheran events for 6th-12th graders, and Troupe of ACTS theater ministry for 6th-12th graders. This committee also spearheads the efforts of those attending the national gatherings every three years.
