About St. Paul's and this position:
The congregation is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and has a long history in the community, having been founded in 1838. In 1852 St. Paul’s moved to the current land and in 1979 built the current church, renovated from a two-story, six-bay barn. Although a historic congregation, St. Paul’s is always looking toward the future. The mission statement of St. Paul’s is “Grow in Faith and Serve With Love” and there are numerous activities for children, youth and adults to grow in faith. The congregation is also very proud of many activities to serve and bless the people of the community.
As this relates to the Communications and Office Administrator position there is a lot of complexity in the congregation and in the church office. Examples of this include regular church communication, weekly worship resources to support two styles of worship, scheduling of the facilities, the importance of accurate records and the general busyness of the church office. There is often activity amongst the other staff members and the many committed volunteers who work together to accomplish the mission of the church.
The congregation is looking forward to the future, excited about where God will lead next. We look forward to our next team member and how your gifts of organization and communication might bless God’s work at St. Paul’s! We look forward to learning more about you! If you have questions about this information or about the position, feel free to contact Pastor Stuart.
