Children and Youth Ministry

St. Paul's takes seriously the responsibility to support parents in helping their children and teens grow in faith! We provide multiple ministries and opportunities to help kids know they are loved and special to God! Our programs focus heavily on growing in faith, developing relationships with other kids and adults of faith...and having fun while doing this!!

Baptism

This sacrament is often the beginning of a faith journey as a child, teen or adult is reminded of how loved they are by God! Additionally, a parent or guardian makes a commitment to help them grow in faith. We would love to talk with your about scheduling a baptism, just fill out the form at the bottom of this page! â€‹

Sunday School

Sunday School meets most every Sunday, Labor Day through Memorial Day. Preschool students (potty trained through fifth grade) are welcome from 9:15-10:15 am. The kids start with music and fun in the sanctuary and then head to their age appropriate classrooms. Check out the Sunday School webpage which includes a calendar and registration!

Bibles

Second grade students receive a Bible from St. Paul's. The Bible will be used throughout their faith journey at St. Paul's and is often presented at worship. If your child has not yet received a Bible from St. Paul's, please contact the church office with the form below!

First Communion

First Communion is offered to fourth grade students and older. First Communion education is provided prior to the first distribution.  Please contact the church office for more information.

Confirmation

St. Paul's confirmation program is an opportunity to to learn about God, ourselves, and our relationship with God in Jesus Christ. It is a time of study, questions, fellowship, small groups, service, and fun. Our Confirmation program is a ministry of our congregation currently offered to families with children in 6-8 grade. Here is a page that lists more details and the schedule for the coming year. If you would like to find out more about St. Paul’s Confirmation program, please contact the church office with the form below.

Combined Youth Programs

St. Paul's has a joint Youth Program with St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Chester Springs which allows us to have a full time youth director, Craig Miller, and provide a larger and more extensive youth program. The youth from both congregations have the opportunity to get together on a regular basis to share God's love and to explore their faith. Check out this youth webpage to find a list of current events with sign ups.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible is an awesome week in the summer of games, learning, music and crafts. Students Pre-Kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome to join and participate.  Students who have finished fifth grade and older are invited to help and serve throughout the week. This webpage lists the future dates and will contain more information as VBS comes closer.

Family Service Group

Monthly families gather for service projects that can be enjoyed by the whole family. In the past the group has sorted clothing for those in need, captured invasive crayfish and helped holiday food boxes.

Young Family Fellowship

Younger families (Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade) meet occasionally for fun family activities together such as bowling, movies, mini-golf, etc.
