  • CONFIRMATION 2010-2011 KICK OFF 9/12
    Confirmation kicks off on September 12 at 6:15 PM in the Fellowship Hall with a potluck dinner/informational meeting. Bring a dish to share. Contact Mark Sofio with any questions.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL BEGINS 9/12
    Sunday School begins for youth and adults on 9/12.

  • MEN'S BIBLE STUDY STARTS 9/15
    A new men’s bible study and fellowship group is forming here at St. Paul’s. We plan to meet on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 6:00 a.m. in the Parsonage starting on Wednesday, September 15th. Initially we will be using a Bible-based discussion series from the Master Builders Bible resource. Future discussion aides will be chosen by the group. A light breakfast is planned for the group (details will be hashed out at the first meeting). Look for a sign-up sheet in the Narthex or contact Pastor Mark or Scott Heath for more info. All men are welcome; you do need to be a member. Hope to see you on the 15th!

  • TROUPE OF ACTS KICKOFF ICE CREAM SOCIAL 9/12, 1:00 PM
    On behalf of the senior class, we would like to invite our youth (6th-12th graders) to an ice cream social to take place Sunday, September 12th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. We are planning to briefly discuss this year’s show, play some games, meet new friends and of course, eat some ice cream! Learn about the Troupe of ACTS, and if you are interested in joining, we would love to have you. If not interested in actually joining, just relax, have some fun and eat a lot of ice cream. If you have questions, feel free to contact Marty Schmidt, Kelly Sullivan or The Lovely Mrs. Beck. Hope to see you there! The first ACTS practice for the 2010-2011 season will beon September 19 from 1:00-4:00.

  • REJOICING SPIRITS 5K RUN/1K WALK 9/18 8:30 AM
    On September 18th Rejoicing Sprits is hosting a 5K Run/1K Walk to raise much-needed funds for the national Rejoicing Spirits effort. Rejoicing Spirits was conceived and launched right here at St. Paul’s. Registration forms for the race are in the hallway and at: www.rejoicingspirits.org. The website also has a link to register on-line. Completed forms can be left in the RS mailbox. Everyone registering by Sept. 1 will receive a free t-shirt. You can also help by spreading the word to any runners/walkers you may know or by volunteering at the event. Contact: Tammy Swink. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt. This is a great community service project for our confirmation students. (See flyer at end of this bulletin.)

  • RARE BIRDS MEETING
    The first event after our summer vacation season will be a luncheon at the Old Country Buffet in Downingtown. Please join us at the Buffet on Tues., September 14, 12:45 for fellowship, companionship & a good time.

  • NURSERY CARE BOTH SERVICES STARTING 9/12
    Starting September 12th, we will again offer nursery care for both services as well as the Sunday School period in between. Providing care during the Sunday School period should help parents who want to attend adult Christian Ed opportunities as well as those who are interested in helping out with the children’s Sunday School classes.

    Please contact the office if interested. Courses are held throughout the year. For those of you who aren't members, you are welcome to get involved in any of the social, educational, service, and worship offerings of the congregation.
  • COFFEE FELLOWSHIP - FALL SIGN UP!
    It's easy! It's fun! Please see the poster in the narthex. Sign up with a friend or another family! If hosting for the first time, guidelines are available.
  • REJOICING SPIRITS SPECIAL WORSHIP
    Join other St. Paul's members and the local community for this service that reaches out to individuals with developmental disabilities. The services are held on the SECOND Sunday each month at 4:00 PM. Contact Susan Crawford for information.
  • IN-TOUCH MINISTRY
    An in-reach ministry that connects all our members through In Touch Coordinators. Contact Pastor Mark for information.
  • ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
    Please take a flyer from the Lobby Literature Rack to learn about the various adult Christian Education programs. Contact Chris Robinson
  • TROUPE OF ACTS
    Teen Theater Ministry performs one major production each year, and are active in St. Paul's worship events as well as "road shows" throughout the year. Contact Dawn Beck or Marty Schmidt if you are interested.
  • STEPHEN MINISTRY
    Provides confidential, one-to-one Christian care for people experiencing challenges in their lives such as hospitalization, loss of a loved one, loneliness, divorce, unemployment, birth of a child, and many other life events for which a person could benefit from an effective helping and caring ministry.
  • THE AMIGOS
    The Amigos are a disorganized (some say disoriented) group of people who like to have fun fixing or painting or building or planting or goofing off. We have no membership requirements. One thing we are not: bored. One thing we are: the "Do it!" arm of the Property Committee. Drop by any Thursday morning and join in the fun.

    • Contemporary Perspectives: A faith-based discussion of selected issues from today’s headlines; led by Paul Rice. (Pastor Mark’s office)

    • Lectionary Discussion: A Bible study opportunity to review the worship service readings of the day; led by Chris Robinson. (Parsonage)

    • The Works of C.S. Lewis: Led by Mary and Tony Applegate. (Parsonage)

    • Sermon Study: A review of the day’s worship service meeting at 12:15. (Fellowship Room)

    • NO Experience Necessary: Led by Kim Martin & Ben Yahr, discuss fundamental Christian concepts. (Parsonage)



  • Tues. Morning Moms of Young Children Bible Study

  • Wednesday Morning Women's Bible Study

  • Intro to Christian Theology Classes meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM in the parsonage.
